Democracy for America presents the independent film, “The War Tapes”. A screening in Pittsburgh will be held on Wednesday, February 20th at Janis Williams’ house on the Northside.

Ready to be Heard: Advocacy Training
Presidents Day: February 19, 2007 ~ Chatham College Campus

Join the Pennsylvania Center for Women, Politics, & Public Policy for a day-long program designed to educate and empower women to be effective advocates! Learn to affect policies at the local, state, and national levels. Interact with public officials and be an active participant in public affairs. Whether you need the basics or want to refine your advocacy techniques, this workshop is for you.

The program features: professional lobbyists as trainers and panelists; networking opportunities; applied case studies and exercises; and take-home resource guides. Registration is $30 and covers all materials and meals during the training.
